[CTSARA] Tecumseh OH-120 Engine

Dear fellow members,
I got through the first 6 days of the storm without major incident.
Sure, I lost power, but that is expected. My Trusty 6 KW Winco generator
started as it has for 25 years. I installed it my self.
How ever, after turning it off to cool for an hour, I turned it on and
...gasp.. it did not start. Exhaust valve stuck. I could see a problem with
valve push rod, but it was hot cold and dark to work on it.
Next day a crew from Michigan cleaned up old church road. Virtually every
cross piece on every pole was twisted, and the line was down in at least two
spots.

So I finally got around to finding an engine diagram, and using my goose
neck TV inspection camera, was able to see the push rod dislodged from the
rocker.
I repositioned the rod, and the valve is working, though I did not start it
yet as the valve cover is off.
My question to the group is 1) What caused the push rod to come loose, 2)
Will it happen again, 3) What is the adjustment procedure?

As for field day, I have a new HONDA 2000U and extended run gas tank
accessory, cart, and security plate, which you guys can borrow for field
day.
