[CTSARA] Still Need People For Bloomin Metric

Folks,

We're short on people for the Bloomin Metric this Sunday.  This is one of
the premier public service opportunities for us in Lower Fairfield County,
with over 3000 people participating.

The event is this Sunday (5/20) from about 7am until about 3pm (we'll be
able to release a few people early, but that will depend on how many we
get).  Sound Cyclists has new management for the event, and the new
management has dramatically changed their attitude/approach toward
providing SAG wagon and breakdown support for the riders.  That means that
they've also changed (improved) their attitude towards the use of ham
radio.  In addition, they want to try some things that involve getting info
out to the SAG wagons via ham radio and text message (rider phone #s and
other rider personal info that is not appropriate to put out by radio
in-the-clear) and this will be an interesting opportunity to try some new
things.

SARA folks -- the new attitude is much more like that of the Bennett
Hope-In-Motion people and if these Bloomin Metric ideas work, we're going
to want to adopt them for Bennett.

If you can help out, please.  It really looks good for ham radio in general
and for the two clubs to do a great job on this event.
