This nifty feather at Weather.com has apparently been available for a
couple of years but I just came across it for the first time.
We are probably all familiar with the radar animation view, which shows a
progression of radar snapshots over the past few hours.
Weather.com has gone one step further and added forecast
animation--essentially the same as the past animation, but extrapolated up
to 6 hours into the future.
Go to the URL below and click the "next 6 hours" button. Precipitation,
cloud cover, and temperature forecasts can all be displayed.

On a side note--the forecast is using their TruPoint technology that
interpolates actual weather data (which of course is only measured at
rather sparse locations such as airports and various other weather
stations) to determine probable current conditions at any of 20 million
locations within the US. Very cool.
