Dear CTSARA List,

This Saturday at 4:30 PM, I will be interviewing Josh Levy the Internet Campaign Director for Free Press and the Free Press Action Fund.

Mr. Levy and I will be discussing SOPA and PIPA. They are two bills which if passed could affect the future of the free and open internet which we have come to accept and take for granted for a long time.

The interview will take place on my program which is heard on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 4 PM to 7:00 on WPKN in Bridgeport, CT. and online at www.wpkn.org.

You may have heard about both proposals especially this week as Google. Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia and others protested in opposition by shutting down their sites or in some cases posting a detailed explanation of what this important matter is about.

WPKN is a non-commercial listener supported station that broadcasts with 10,000 watts at 89.5 FM. Due to the fact that WSOU a college station in New Jersey also shares the frequency, the station is difficult to hear in the Stamford/Greenwich area unless you live in a high location and have a good FM antenna.

As I mentioned, WPKN also streams its diverse programs online at www.wpkn.org. When you go to the site, click on just below where it says listen now. That is not a clickable link.

What you want to click on is where it says img/play_new. Don't go to where it says archives as that refers to programs that have already been heard on the air.

After that, click on where it says Listen with Flash (recommended) and the stream will come up.
The interview should last about an hour.

Again that's this Saturday at 4:30 PM for a discussion of SOPA and PIPA and how both pieces of legislation could affect the Internet as we know it if Congress passes them.
