[CTSARA] Sunday Night Net and Snoozeline Suspended

Dear SARA List,

In the late '70s, I was one of the people who started the Sunday night net.  At the time, it was designed to be a place where if you got on the repeater at 8:00, there would be people there.  Sometimes the net lasted a couple of hours.

In 1980, I introduced Newsline or as it was known then, the West Link Amateur Radio Network to the club.  We tried it on a trial basis and it continued for over 30 years.

I agree with the decision to end the net.  I have felt for a long time that this weekly on air gathering ran its course and it's over..

This is not meant as an insult to anyone who ran the net but as you know, nothing lasts forever.

 Maybe it's time to move on to something else or not even have a specific night for a specific activity or discussion on the air.
