Folks,

Steve is a new ham -- passed his Technician at our July VE session.  I
don't really know anything about the Kenwoods (especially about the
differences between the D700 and the D710) but if anybody has any insight
that could help him ...

Steve, you might want to check www.eham.net.  They have reviews of pretty
much every ham product made in the last 10 or 20 years and you may be able
to get some insight into the differences -- and into whether or not the
difference in cost is worth it.
