[CTSARA] SARA Meeting Tomorrow Night

Our monthly meeting will take place tomorrow evening (Dec. 1).  WE WILL BE
STARTING AT 7:30PM instead of our usual time!!

 

For this month we're going to do something a little different - focus more
on some holiday socializing and less on presentations (although we will have
a few short presentations).

 

To aid the socializing, we're going to have a holiday potluck - everyone
please bring some dessert or not-too-messy finger food for sharing.  We'll
provide plates, plastic-ware, and soda/water.  I'm told that there will also
be (non-alcoholic) eggnog.  If there's something special you want to drink,
feel free to bring it BUT REMEMBER NO ALCOHOL.

 

Adam W1ASB and Gus W1BV will talk about their experience working the PJ2T
contest station in Curacao, where they made some crazy number of QSOs in
just a few days during the DX contest.  Given recent weather history, we'll
also have a brief review of how to buy and set up a portable generator for
home emergency power.

 

Because of the earlier time for the meeting, we'll be meeting at 6pm at
Sorrento for pizza for those who would like to have a sit-down dinner.
Sorrento is 879 High Ridge in the little strip mall on the south side of the
High Ridge/Vine Rd. intersection.  There is ample parking in the back.
