We had a great turnout for the Bennett Hope In Motion bike ride today and
our crew did a superb job.
Because of the great turnout, we were able to let the public service novices
do most of the operating under the tutelage of more experienced operators.
I would like to thank
Jon, W3EIC who made his debut as net control and did an excellent job
Stan, WA2NRV who assisted Jon
AT, KK1R who managed to keep his SAG wagon driver awake for most of the ride
Chris, KB1QXR who learned more than he wanted to know about fixing bike
flats
James, KB1UHP who put up with my driving
Fred, K1FC who proved that antennas work just as well without HTs as they do
with HTs
Luis, KB1TJM who put up with Fred's driving
Terry, W1TSM who learned more than he wanted to know about Port-Potties
Bill, KB1IFY and Donna, KB1TGW who may have found the perfect shade tree
Bill, WG1HM who did his usual superb job
Bruce, KC2WGX who did a very nice job in his first outing with us
Frank, KB1IFX who helped out down at Columbus Park
The event organizers have a given us a special thank you for the work we do
and I'll tell those of you who participated about it in a separate email.
Thank you all. You really did us proud.
