Emailing: Winter Field Day Flier 2011 new 
Dear GBARC Members;
Enclosed is a advertisementFlyer for Winter Field Day 2011 taking place Saturday 
and SundayJanuary 29th & 30th. It will be taking Place at the Bridgeport Park & 
Recreations Department located on 7 Trumbull Road just a Right turn off 
QuarryRoad in Trumbull.
Setup for the Event will be at 8AM Saturday Morning January 29th.Here is the 
Plan for the Event...

·      (4) Stations will be set up covering…10 Meters, 20 Meters, 40 Meters& 80 
Meters..with the ability to switch from 10 Meters to 15 Metersif need be.
·      We will need 4 Antenna Systems..A.) Al has Antron 99 for 10 & 15 
Meters,Adam has 20 Meter Beam, Ed will lend us 40 Meter Verticaland John will 
set up 80 Meters on Buddy Pole. That’sthe hope and Plan.
·      We need (4) Laptop PC's…Al has one Laptop,John can lend us another 
Laptop, Larry Reed has 3rd Laptop, we just need a 4th laptop at least.Also need 
Laptops to be all set up on January 18th Meeting at Bridgeport EOC where we will 
do a Programming upload to all Laptops and also work on Networking them with 
help from Mike Johnston N1MCJ& Larry Gross W1LAG is available. If not then we 
need to get people to volunteer to do that.
·      We need to Collect $20.00 a personor $25.00 a person for purchase of food 
that we will order out for food.
·      We will have a Large Coffee Pot. We need supplies for Coffee suchas Milk, 
Sugar Packs, CoffeeMate and Hot Cups.
·      Event will take place inside the Building. Building areawe will be in is 
heatedand has available Windows to outside area to run coax Feeds.
·      We will have a Go-Kit Radio set up to use 146.445 GBARC Machine and 
441.700 Repeater as Talk-In Repeaters for those coming down to join us and also 
to contact the remote locations to operate persons from their Base Stations.
·      We will see if Rich Duckworth can set up a Portable Packet Station to do 
some Packet and teach people about Packet Radio.
·      I would like to invite JohnRaymond and the Civil Air Patrol to come join 
us at the Event.
·      Also would like to have ART CARTIER N1VGT, GBARV PIO, to place out Event 
information to the Press of Newspapers, Radio, and TV.
·      If anyone has any Questions they would like to ask then save them for 
TuesdaysMetingat the Bridgeport EOC Tomorrow Night.
