The ARRL Introduction to Emergency Communications Course (EC-001) is being
given as a classroom course West Haven at the end of January.  It is a very
useful course if you have any interest in emergency communications.  Please
see the details below

Please note that the course now requires completion of the FEMA IC-100 and
IC-700 courses (both available on-line).  That is a major change from years
past.

Also note that the EC-001 course is available on-line from the ARRL.

Course Description
This course is designed to provide basic knowledge and tools for any
emergency communications volunteer.  The course has 6 sections with 29
lesson topics.

* PREREQUISITES *
– YOU MUST BRING CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION: IS-100 & IS-700
Before you begin the course you NEED to have completed the following
prerequisites.

       ICS-100 (IS-100.b) : Introduction to the Incident Command System
       IS -700 : National Incident Management System

** IS-100 and  IS-700 provide a foundation for the content of this course.
