[CTSARA] Public Service Event this Saturday (Aug 6)

Please don't forget that this Saturday is the 9 mile race in the Lightfoot
Running Club's summer series.

It's extra important that we have a good ham radio showing because this race
typically attracts a number of government leaders.  Last year Jim Himes
(local U.S. Rep attended) was there.  The mayor of Norwalk is almost always
there, as are various state reps from around the area.  The event is a
fundraiser for a local group called Courage To Speak (
http://www.couragetospeak.org/) that has done a particularly good job of
helping teens to stay off drugs.

The race is a 9 miler consisting of 2 loops of about 4-1/2 miles.  We need
3-4 hams including net control.  If anyone wants to ride it on a bicycle,
scooter, motorbike, even motorcycle, that would be a good idea since it's
just a matter of going around and around the loop.

The event takes place at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk.  I'll send out route
map, etc. later in the week.
