QST Magazine printed the results of the 2009 Simulated Emergency Test in its July 2010 issue (pgs 69-71).
As those of you who participated may remember, last year's test was conducted in two parts here in CT -- part one being a comm test from the EOC in October and part two being a digital test that was conducted from the Red Cross Chapter house in Darien.
For CT ARES as a whole, Region 1 West (that's us) scored a total of 248 points (142 in the Nov digital test + 106 in the Oct voice test), making us 6th in CT overall. The test from the Stamford EOC scored 96 points, which was about the middle score in the state, but higher than Norwalk, Bridgeport, and Westport.
According to QST, Frank has changed his call sign from KB1IFX to KB1FIX. I wonder if we should congratulate Frank on this change ('hi hi' for you old timers, or <g> for you new timers).
Frank and I have been talking about what we might want to do for the 2010 SET, which is scheduled for Oct 2-3 (Sat-Sun). We have some ideas that we think will make it a much more interesting event/opportunity than in previous years. We'll be following up after Field Day. In the meantime though, please keep the weekend of Oct 2-3 clear on your calendars.

P.S. Please no snarky comments about why it takes the ARRL nine months to
publish SET results when they can get the results from a nationwide VHF
sprint out in about 1/3rd the time.
