We would like to build up our call tree for emergency communications
purposes.

For those of you not familiar with the concept, a call tree is a sequence of
people to call that spreads the work so that a lot of people can be called
in a short period of time. The way it works is that the first person to get
a call calls two people (2). Those two people then each call two people
(4). Those four people then each call two people (8). Thus, with each
person making only two phone calls, a total of 15 people have been called.
Add one more layer and a total of 31 people have been called ...

If you would like to participate, please contact me directly (NOT THROUGH
MAILMAN) with the following information

1.	Name
2.	Class of license
3.	Location (what town do you live in)
4.	Phone number(s) at which you should be contacted
5.	Email address(es) at which you can be contacted
6.	Do you have an HT or a VHF mobile
7.	Do you have significant battery backup (a spare HT battery is not
"significant" but an 8AH or 50AH or 72AH external battery is)
8.	Do you have a generator
9.	Do you have HF capability

Some of you may have joined ARES and filled out the ARES info. I'd
appreciate it if you would just repeat that here so that we don't have to go
searching the ARES database for the info.

Once we know who is willing to participate, we will issue guidelines for
using the call list (e.g., what do I do if I'm supposed to call someone and
they're not answering?) and also start pulling together some basic training
in controlled net operations and message handling.
