Greetings!

The current weather forecast for Connecticut indicates heavy snow and blizzard conditions are likely for tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 10. The American Red Cross has already raised their standby level in anticipation of possible power outages, shelter operations, etc.

Effective at 1800 EST this evening Tuesday, Feb. 10, I am raising the CT. ARES activation status to Level 1 - Alert. Please make any preparations necessary to be ready to assist our Served Agencies as needed. I anticipate raising the activation status to Level 2 - Standby effective at 0800 tomorrow morning Wednesday, Feb. 10

Regional District Emergency Coordinators (DECs) are authorized to liaison directly with Served Agencies in your respective Regions for any requests for CT. ARES assistance. Since there is currently no DEC for Region 2, any requests for assistance in Region 2 should be forwarded to me for action.
73 & Thanks, Wayne Gronlund, N1CLV.
