Please read and be prepared for our Region 1 SET on  3 October 2009, even if the State level post phones theirs.

Hi folks,

It seems that the Section is going to delay the formal SET. I don't know how
their change of schedule got out of the leadership channel in one day, but
here's my plan for the SET.

Each of you has done some considerable work putting together a local plan. With
that in mind I intend to go ahead with the local Nets and exercises on October
3rd. I don't want to rearrange everything on such short notice. The Section
plans are in flux, so I doubt that we'll have a Section scenario ru
nning during
the morning. I'll announce that through the same e-mail blasts that I used for
my past announcements a bit latter on. Again it's the local level that matters
most. I'll be on the SET road on the 3rd and I'll try to hit all the Nets that I
can. Please be patient with me, I'm trying to do the best I can with the current
situation.

For you, the Region One leadership, I'll try to get a plan together with the
Section that will give you the exposure and recognition that you deserve without
putting an unreasonable burden on any of you. It looks like it will happen
sometime in November. I'll give you as much advance info as I can and I hope all
of you can add something to the Section effort. Please, un
derstand that I
appreciate that after the 3rd, you will have already done all that can be
reasonably expected of you and that anything that you contribute later is beyond
the call.

Bottom line - use the guidelines that I put out earlier and don't worry about
the Section right now. We'll do what we can for them when they settle down to
business. I already have promises that we will have our reports honored for
scoring and participation even if we run our part early.

I hope that, that answers any questions that are open right now. If not, please,
contact me directly for clarification.

Best regards,
Allan, NN1H
