Jonathan,

Are you thinking of this thing to power radios or to power
cellphones/laptops, etc.?

Looking at the specs, there are two things that I'm unclear on, both related
to the rated output ("Rated Output: DC 5-20V, Max 3500 mA").

1. What kind of power can one run from a ham radio using this battery? For
example, 3500mA means about 25 watts output from the typical ham radio
(13.8v x 3.5amps = 48.3 watts, and the typical ham radio is about 50%
efficient, meaning that 48.3 watts in will result in about 25 watts out).
For example, the FT-7800 (which is reasonably efficient radio) needs 8.5
amps at 13.8 volts to drive 50 watts output. Can this thing really do
3500mA out.

2. How well does it regulate voltage at different output levels? If I'm
driving the battery at 3500mA out, will it give me 13.8v, or 12.8v or 5v or
what? I don't see anything in the information they're giving that would
indicate voltage regulation ability.

Jon
