Hi John could you put this on our front ctsara page for the guys to see.

Max Guerrieri of LeadDog Marketing Group, who was the Lead Director for this year’s Bennett Cancer Walk Ride Run 2009 expressed with great gratitude his thanks to our volunteer amateur radio operators who demonstrated their professionalism during this event this past Sunday June 7, 2009

Kudos to our SARA and ARES members who volunteere d and participated this year to make the Bennett Cancer Walk, Ride and Run a successful operation. Practicing Amateur Emergency Radio Communications for events like this one are ways to better and hone our craft and if needed we would be able to support any group in a time of Emergency types of Operations.

With special note of thanks especially during this event from Max who recogn ized early on that he had a communications failure out=2 0in the field. He was unable to maintain contact with his people. Max commented to me that our team effort stepped up to bat and demonstrated our Professional’s to help him keep him in the communications link in order that he could operate and keep abreast of what was going on during the race.

He further remarked at our abilities to communicate when he had no way to keep in contact with his folks that literally saved his caboose. Of course he did not use the word caboose. He was impressed with our communications abilities and skills as demonstrated during this event.

Special thanks to Our Advisors, who gave us their wisdom and input, our Net Controller who kept us on our Mission, Ou r Rest Stop Posts and SAG Vehicles Oper ators who kept us informed with what was going on in the 50 and 20 Mile race. We kept our radio communications link working. To our APRS test that we ran during this event which was quite successful in it’s operations. The Bennett Cancer Walk Ride& Run donator’s and sponsorship’s raised over $500,000.00 dollars for their cause. Makes you feel good you made a difference in support of their operations.

Of course I would like to thank each of you individually for your professionalism, conduct and behavior as Amateur Radio Operator’s in such a worth while cause, especially working through the glitches in a timely manner and going above board to serve the Bennett Cancer Wal k, Ride and Run 2009.
