Hello everyone,



Jon Perlstein and myself wanted to thank you for volunteering in advance before this years 2009 Hope in Motion, Bennett Cancer Walk, Ride and Run.  




We would like to also confirm those of you who have volunteered and would like you to email us that you are showing up or phone me at 203 329 3068. We are trying to firm up our assignments.   I have attached a tentative post assignment sheet.  If you would please print it out for your convenience that would help you understand the basic info in how we will operate. 




 Jon, KB1QBZ will be our Net Control.  The three repeaters listed will be a DIRECTED Net so please respect the Net when it becomes active.  I will send you more information and have hand outs on Sunday morning and it looks like at present we should all meet at Columbus Park where the Ham Tent is set up.  If you would still like to participate and do not see your name on the list contact me via email or leave a phone number where I could reach you..

Basically we have 3 rest stops and two SAG vehicles.  At each of the rest stop the Ham Radio Operators will give vest numbers only to communicate and relay information that may be needed.  Information relayed back to Net Control will be in the format of VEST NUMBER ONLY.  This Radio Communication for the Rest Stops and the SAG Vehicles should be for medical assistance or 
if the last person to passes through the rest stop and the need to secure the Rest Stop Operations.  You may contact Net Control for other reasons for what that particular rest stop needs I.E. Water.  If you have an urgent message contact Net Control directly and wait for instructions.  




This will be a fun event for the SARA Club as we get more involved with public services.
