[CTSARA] UPDATE SARA New Repeater Site

Hi there,

not sure if I'm allowed to reply to this list as a non-member (and
mostly-inactive ham, something I really should fix as I've been licensed for
almost a year), if not please let me know & accept my apologies...

I'm curious about the tech specs of the repeater. What
radios/controller/etc are used? How are they powered (DC or AC?) What if
any backup power system is in place? What is the system's transmit power,
and where is it located (I'm going to guess Landmark or perhaps the
hospital)?
I see what appears to be a six-cavity duplexer, but what is the larger
cavity mounted vertically on the wall? A filter of some kind?
T1 line, is that to provide Internet service (echolink/irlp), phone service
(not sure what a repeater would 23 channels of phone for?) or to provide a
site-to-site link to somewhere else (another repeater?)?

Sorry for all the questions, am just curious about the technical aspects of
how such a thing is setup...

thanks in advance,
chris KB1QXR

Subject: [CTSARA] UPDATE SARA New Repeater Site

Hello everyone: last week with permission I took several photos of the new
SARA repeater site.

The first photo: Frank, KB1iFX standing next to the repeaters and
accessories not installed yet. Second Photo: is our work station. We will
have our own telephone and a T1 connection.
