[CTSARA] DIY Or Ship It Out?

Franklyn-

Power supplies are pretty simple, especially the nice big ones we use  
for ham radio.  (OK, switching supplies are not, but, anyway...)

The large units make it easy to work in.  The components that have  
magic smoke are, well, all of them could have it; but MOST of them  
should some some sign that they released it.  (Burnt, bluging,  
leaking, smelling, etc).

The question needs to be asked though, WHY did smoke.

Anyway, I'm certainly not one to teach electronics, but I know enough  
to be dangerous.  Let me know if you need a hand; I'll show what what  
I know.
