Yes, the heart of the antenna is the antenna tee (called the VersaTee), the
whips/sticks, and the coils.  The tripod can be purchased from anyone as
long as it will hold the mast.  Many people, for example, use standard
camera tripods instead of the one that Buddipole sells.

Is the heart of the Buddipole the antenna tee and the whips\sticks
that attach to the tee?  If so is there anything wrong with buying a
tripod from a another manufacturer and using the tee with it?  Guitar
Center sells speaker and lighting stands for under $60 (crank up
models are more course).
