I could use some help..
I have been doing a design for a local electrician and have gotten as far as I can go at this point. His idea was to produce an electrical tester for testing outlets that would provide a voice output instead of just lights.
I have a basic design and I had a PC prototype board made. My problem is that I can't find any US manufacturers of voice storage memories. I have a couple sample 1-megabit flash memory chips (that have the capacity) but I have no way to get the voice messages stored.
I found a company in China that makes the chips used in greeting cards but I have a language problem since I don't speak Chinese and they don't have a Rep in the US.
My problem is exacerbated by the fact that I have prostate cancer that was in remission but has come back. I'm told that an effective medicine can't be used because my kidneys are in poor shape. So, I have a lot of personal things to get done and not much time to concentrate on this project.
If anyone in SARA or GNARC could step in and help, I'd be delighted. I've been doing this "pro bono" because the guy was laid off and can't afford to pay. But, if we can get this off the ground, I know that there will be money forthcoming.
As I say, most of the work has been done; I just need some help at this point. I wrote a provisional patent application for him, so he is covered for a while.
I have all of the parts needed, and test equipment. If someone is willing to help, I will work with you to get this done!
Tnx and vy 73,
Diran, AB1K
