Hello all, as most are already aware a trip is being organised to visit
 the RTE longwave (Atlantic 252) facility's  in Co Meath, and the medium
wave facility's in Atlone.
This is a rare opportunity to visit these (must see transmission sites)
there are three generations of medium wave transmitters in Atlone here
including the original Marconi equipment.
The date for the trip is Wednesday September 16th, this was decided at the
meeting last Wednesday night in conjunction with with John EI2FG who was
present,  and is our tour guide for the trip, and has made the arrangements
with RTE
It has been suggested we hire a bus, and an example of cost is €600.00 for
a 22 seater bus, leaving Carrigtohill about 8am and returning about 8pm
