Hi Gents,

I just got a call from Hans' wife Esther to say that he's out of
surgery--from 2pm to 8.30pm--and is now in recovery.  She said all seems to
have gone well.  I asked her to tell Hans I had no end of replies to my
email and that many are pulling for a quick recovery.  She said she would
tell him and thanked all those who sent their good wishes.

She will give me an update in a few days' time but I think it is now rest
for Hans and recovery from a long operation.

Great news.  Please pass the word.
