[Corkradioclub] Fielday

Tim et al,

With sincere apologies for late response - I'll be there on Saturday afternoon & overnight into Sunday morning. Count me in both as CW op and for burger(s).

As suitable punishment for being "last minute.com" I volunteer to do the graveyard shift overnight.

I've portable kit to hand; 12m pole, TS450 etc. If anything is still needed, please let me know & I'll bring if I have.

I agree with Jeremy that the club FT2K is not good kit for field day; I haven't done firmware upgrades on it yet, it lacks filters on the sub RX & also has the roofing filter defect of the early FT2Ks that's a serious problem in CW in contests (I plan to do the AC0C mod soon that'll sort that out).

I just hope propagation is better than during the WPX CW - I made he mistake of going SOSB 10m LP last weekend, boy was that a mistake ;-)

Regards
Cormac, EI4HQ
