[Corkradioclub] Fwd: Fielday

Hi Tim es all.

Mains electricity is not permitted in field day so either way the use of
your generator is required.

If someone wishes to put on any additional stations, I think it would be
best to leave them sort out their own power source.

The club's FT2000 may not be the ideal choice of radio for field day. I'm
not even sure if there are any CW filters in it even. Ideally, for future
events, I agree that more suitable portable equipment should be sourced in
the meantime. Perhaps this should be looked at sooner rather than later if
we are to remain as active.

Club activities are essential for the club to survive.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the post and hope you can come. For the record, I've registered
our entry with Thos in the Restricted Section using Ei1C/P. I'm sure he'll
change us to Open if we like but I'll let others make that decision. If we
decide to run two (or more) stations, there is parking and mains power at
the barn which is about 300m from where we'll set up near the water. That
would separate us from each other but we could use Ei5CRC or Jeremy's
Ei3HB. I'm happy either way.

I agree about getting some gear together for activations. I think the club
also has an FT-2000 at its disposal.

Tim
