Hi Gents,

CW Field Day on June 1-2 (Sat-Sun) is coming onto the radar screen.

I'm happy to host it at our place on Ringarogy Island (bridge access)
opposite Baltimore in West Cork. There's plenty of room next to the
water's edge for caravans and my generator will provide power. We'll need
to erect an antenna and can use my tent or a caravan as operating location.
Also, I thought I'd set up a BBQ down below and make hamburgers if the
hamburger-eaters are willing to give me a fiver to cover costs. If you
don't like hamburgers there'll be room on the BBQ for anything you want to
grill yourself.

It would be great to make a good showing for the club in this contest and,
if Brow Head is an indicator, will be good fun even for non-CW operators.
Some will remember Neely Connolly from Skibbereen, who was a long-time club
member. I've invited him and hope he can come as well.

Please let me know if you think you can come. Also, please let me know if
you plan to bring a caravan or other equipment. I have a mast but it's
neither tall nor very sturdy so we could use a good mast. My 40m dipole
could be used but we're allowed only one antenna in the restricted section,
so a trap dipole or vertical may be a better choice if anyone can bring
one. The contest starts on the Sat at 1500UTC and runs for 24 hours, so we
can set up that morning and have the BBQ that evening.

I'll give you directions later. Hope to see you all here.
