[Corkradioclub] Marconi Day on Saturday, 20 April

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the offer of help on the Friday. That's the day we need the
most help as putting things up requires more hands than taking it all
down. We'll plan to meet about 3pm on the Friday, and there are a couple
inexpensive restaurants in Crookhaven before the trip back to Cork.

Directions are pretty easy. Head for
Skiibbereen/Ballydehob/Schull/Goleen/Crookhaven on the N71. It's about
2hours from Cork. After Goleen approaching Crookhaven you will come to the
water's edge which is Crookhaven's small harbour. You go the whole way
around that and will have the sea (harbour) always on your left. Just
after the right turning for Mizen Head (stay left for Crookhaven), the sea
disappears and land broadens on your left. Within 50m or so you will see a
right turning which is just before a small beach on your right. Turn right
just before the beach/parking area for the single track road up to Brow
Head. Mind yourself as it is a steep climb with passing places but very
little traffic. At the top you will see a house (we will park any caravans
here) and just after that a turning/parking area. This is where the final
100m walking track to the top starts.

One more tip: Anyone replying to this, please paste
corkradioclub at mailman.qth.net in the 'To' field of your email. That will
allow everyone to see your reply.

Thanks again,

Tim
