Hi Gents,
With Patrick's Day behind us and Easter just around the corner, it's time
to start thinking about Marconi Day on Brow Head. It's not a contest but
more like a very popular special event station. If you've never been
there, the setting is spectacular.
This year it's on Saturday, 20 April, and as usual we will need to set up
on the Friday afternoon and pack up on Sunday morning. In 2011 there were
about ten of us so we operated two stations and made about 2000 QSOs. Last
year some members were at the IRTS AGM on the same weekend, so two of us
running one station made about 500 QSOs. With no AGM conflict this year, I
hope we can better our 2011 numbers and again run at least two stations.
But we need operators and hands to help set up and take down. So I'm
asking for a show of hands as to who thinks they may join us--even if for
only part of the weekend.
Also, we have only one caravan so far but need at least two in case the
weather gets nasty. If you can bring yours, please let me know.
Thanks,
Tim Ei2KA
