[Corkradioclub] March Meeting Tuesday 6th

The next meeting of Cork Radio Club will be held in the Carrigtwohill Community Centre on Tuesday next March 6th at 2030.

Jack EI7HO has kindly donated brand new copies of the latest 2012 ARRL Handbook and the ARRL Antenna Handbook 22nd Edition to help club funds. These cost over €55.00 each in the UK plus carriage which would be substantial considering the size of the books.
As agreed at the last meeting, they will be raffled on Tuesday night with tickets at €5.00 each.
If you cannot make the meeting and would like a chance to win one of these classic publications, pop a fiver in the post to me QTHR or give it to someone attending the meeting.

John Riordan EI6IJ has donated a Yaesu FT2000D plus accessories to the club.
John, now based in a nursing home in Buncrana, Co. Donegal, did his theory course with Cork Radio Club.
John, in the past, donated his car to IRTS.

Final call for anyone interested in participating in International Marconi Day at Brow Head on April 21st. Unfortunately it clashes with the IRTS AGM in Dundalk. Tim EI2KA and Hans EI9GRB are willing but would need mores participants to make it happen.

The big Titanic weekend is on the 14/15th of April in Cobh and Cormac EI4HQ will need volunteers to set up and operate EI100T.
