Ok guys,
Nice to see a few more EI's in the log now, thus making it to 84 unique EI
callsigns. Granted, a few busted calls maybe, however, a great show by all
EI's concerned. Analysing this further, that is over 300 band slots,
meaning, EI has been worked a minimum of 300 times on Christmas Island. No
one can say that there are no conditions or the band is dead. There is no
such ting as a dead band. Working 17M CW this morning, Several M3 (5watts)
and 2I0 (50watts) were worked and many UK mobile stations were worked.
Again, I stress, if you hear us, please call us, you may be pleasently
surprised.
A few hours ago, a new world record was set. We now have the highest amount
of CW QSOs madre on ANY DXpedition and have amassed in excess of 100,000
QSOs on this mode. In another few hours, we will publicly be the Biggest
DXpedition ever and will be the world leader with the most QSO's ever made
on a DXpediton and the first DXpediton ever to make in excess of 200,000
QSO's. There are already several other new records set. Stay tuned for full
results or look at www.t32c.com
Today was the first rainy day and the start of the rainy season. Although
temp of around 30 degress at present. The entire group is in great spirits
and looking forward to these new world records being broken. The Champagne
is on ice!!
Topband is prooving to be more difficult though. I heard George EI6S with
the UK group this morning on the top end of 80M with no success though, they
could not hear me!!
Congrats to 7BA, 5GM & 8GS who are all Cork Radio Club members and are
leading the league tables with tremendous scores. It would be nice however
to work more CRC members or even EI5CRC itself.
