Hi Gents,

Thought you'd like to see what's happening next week at CIT. Through Ingo
Ei2KF's initiative, we will be operating the club call on Tues 11 Oct from
the main entrance at CIT. Anybody that is available would be welcome to pay
us a visit on the day as we are trying to encourage CIT students to form an
amateur radio society.

Below is the item that will appear in the IRTS News.

Hope to see some of you there next week.

Cork Radio Club members will be operating from the CIT campus in
Bishopstown, Cork on Tuesday 11 October as part of an initiative to
introduce CIT students to amateur radio. Ingo Ei2KF, Tim Ei2KA and Gene
Ei6KF (AL7GQ) will operate club call Ei5CRC from the main entrance at CIT
from 11am to 3pm. Depending on access for antennas, bands will be 20m, 30m,
and possibly 17m, 15m, and 2m on the Cork Repeater. Modes will be phone and
CW. The aim is to introduce students to amateur radio and encourage the
formation of a student amateur radio society at CIT. Cork Radio Club plans
to provide encouragement and support for any interested students. All
amateurs are welcome to pay a visit to the station on the day, and
particularly club members are welcome since students may later see a
familiar face. Location is Rossa Avenue just off Model Farm Road.
