Hi all,
I received an email from Marc Sullivan W4mps from North Carolina. He has
been here several times on holiday and intends to come again around May 12th
until 29th. The following is an extract from his email. If anyone can help
him let me know and I can send you his email address.

"We’ll be in Cork for a couple of days at a wedding and then on to a holiday
home in Glanworth. As usual, most time will be spent visiting family in and
around Kildorrerey/Mitchelstown. But of course I’ll have some ham radio
equipment with me. I’m planning to try to activate a summit or two as part
of the Summits On The Air program. So I’ll have my little FT-857D with me
along with my PAC-12 portable antenna. I’m not going to bring a battery
with me because of weight. Perhaps I could borrow one. I’ll need a 7Ah or
8Ah sealed lead acid battery which would weigh approximately 3 to 4 pounds.
I can manage that well enough in a rucksack. Would anyone in the Cork club
have one that they might be willing to loan me for a week or so? In order
to activate a summit, you have to make at least 4 simplex contacts."
