[Corkradioclub] Update on Lighthouse Weekend

Hi All

The activation from the Old Head of Kinsale Lighthouse next Month has had to
be cancelled.

It was brought to our attention that another group has received permission
from Irish Lights to set up a station at the Old Head Lighthouse for that
same Weekend.

We had registered before them with the International Lighthouse / Lightship
organisation but they do not want to get involved in the matter.

We do not wish to make an issue of this with Irish Lights in case it would
jeopardise future Lighthouse activations for all amateur radio clubs in
Ireland.
Therefore we feel it is better to cancel the Weekend in the interest of all.

Sorry for the delay in posting this email but I had hoped the other group
may have changed their plans.
At this late stage we really have no choice but to cancel.
