Well it looks like we have a good place to operate from in Botswana for this
summers trip.

 

Daniel has found a operating place that is on a large game farm in Botswana
about a 6 hour drive north of 

Johannesburg. He says there is room to put up all the antennas and the
electricty is good. The food is also good.

 

 

The dates will be to arrive at Johannesburg on the 4th of July and we go to
the operating site on the 5th.

and depart from there on the 20th and fly home on the 21st of July.

 

So for there are 2 of us going one CW and one SSB operator. Is there anyone
else wanting to join 

with us for this great trip. I will be at Visalia for the international DX
convention in April so stop by and

lets talk. It would be great to have another 2 or 4 join with us. With  4 or
more of us I think Daniel would be willing to get 

both towers with the T8 LogP's set upso we could have a CW and a SSB
station.

 

All you have to bring with you is your laptop for loging and your clothes.
All antennas and radios are there

in Johannesburg.  We will have a call just for the IARU contest to use and
each person will have their on

A2 call sign I hope.
