This is the remarkable Cushcraft X-9 competition-grade tribander that
equals or exceeds the performance of almost every other tribander
anywhere (see comparison below). It is no longer available from
dealers, but this one is DEALER NEW in UNOPENED BOXES, and available at
a great price.
This is a great beam! If you read the N0AX/K7LXC "HF Tribander
Performance" evaluations, you know the X-9 was only beaten by the much
more massive, weaker, and more ungainly Force 12 C31XR, and then by only
.3db (!!) on 20, and not at all on 15 and 10. Yet the C31XR has a 31'
boom (X-9 = 28'), 14 el. (X-9 = 9 el.), 3 feedlines (X-9 = 1), and a
windloading of 11 sq. ft. (X-9 = 9). What's more, the X-9 has the
strongest, easiest to use element-to-boom and boom-to-mast clamps in the
industry (the pride and joy of the entire Cushcraft "Big Thunder"
series). They make it the easiest antenna on which to mount elements to
the boom or boom to the mast, no matter whether you're on the ground, a
ladder, the roof, or the tower. If you want to see those mounts, and
note the extremely rugged construction of this antenna, download the
manual here--

The X-9 us widely recognized as one of the world's top tribanders, and
this one's NEW IN THE BOXES (3 of them), NEVER UNPACKED, NEVER
ASSEMBLED. It can be had for $745 + shipping (firm; pse no trades), and
you'll be hardpressed to find a better buy anywhere. Don't take my word
for it; as they say, "Ask the ham who owns one!" Many tks, Happy New
Year to all, and vy 73. Jan N0JR
