This is Tim, N8LXR, from Philadelphia. I specialize in Mobile Contesting and would like to ask all my fellow contestors to join me in the 2002 New Jersey QSO Party, which will be held on August 17th and 18th, 2002. I will be doing a statewide mobile class effort and the number of counties I cover is dependent on the level of activity. I will open in fairly rare CAPE MAY COUNTY, followed shortly by CUMBERLAND COUNTY, which is also fairly rare. I will be active on both phone and CW, and will make it a point to cycle bands from low to high (starting with 40 meter CW), so that everyone has a chance to work these rare counties, which are multipliers in NJQP. Complete rules for NJQP can be found at SM3CER Contest Service/Rules - 40th Annual New Jersey QSO Party. Your participation is greatly needed to help make this a fun and exciting contest. Stations in NJ are asked to really get out there and give the other states good reason to participate. I am not officially connected with NJQP, just a ham who loves mobile contesting, and just doing my part to make NJQP a success! 73 and hope to QSO you from the Garden State on August 17th and 18th! Much of it IS new, because amp was built for me by Bill Edwards at Omega Electronics in 2000. In recent bench test into 5kw dummy load, 120w drive on 21.300mhz produced more than 4000w output with just 1800 mils on the plate and just 70 mils on the grid. Since amp can easily handle 2000 on plate and 150 on grid, you can guess its capabilities. Serious buyers email me for details and photos. Not for the faint of heart.
