[Collins] L3 value in the 30L-1

Hello all,

I have a question about a 30L-1 I am restoring.

The Amateur Product Line Information Letter # 26, dated 7-7-70 mentions a
possible 30L-1 “Parasitic Oscillation” that can be corrected by changing L3,
a 39µH choke for a 22µH part (240-0186-000).

The 30L-1 I am working on was made in 1976 but it have the 39µH value for
L3.

Is it that because the L3 value change was never used in production and
should be applied only to the units giving the “parasitic oscillation”
problem ?
