You might consider modifying it to the new neutralization circuit.  That only takes 3-components and less than a half-hour's work.  The "new" neutralization circuit works much better with all of the 6146 family of tubes.

Thanks Glen,
    I've saved your info on 6146's, and always try to remember to look at 
it.  I have been using "plain" 6146's in this one, it does have a 
ceramic cap.
