Hi Jerry - I dont think so. It looks like the Jaws face inward instead of
outward. You don't want to take any chances in buggering up the rotor. I
would take it to a motor - starter repair shop and they could pull the
bearings off with the correct tool. You may have trouble separating the two
halves - the little rivets that hold the label are causing binding. When
you pull it apart trim them flush on the inside and the whole mess will go
together ok. Use a magic marker to mark stuff you take apart - that way you
can line up halves. Be careful of the motor wires - feed them under the
bracket before pulling halves apart. Good luck. Oh - the ring on the
blower end that is fastened with 4 screws is also glued on. Use a heat gun
to heat up the ring after removing the screws and once you start a small
screw driver under one edge it will pop off. It must be real hot - be
careful.

Hi Bill
I really need to do the same to my KWS-1. Do you think this inexpensive
puller is large enough to do the job of pulling off the old bearings?

Greetings,
On my butchered KWS-1 project - Fan sounded like a cement mixer - Ordered
Bearings # WC87938 from Johnson Bearing - 885-359-1049 for about $6.00 and
received them a few days later. Good instructions on W8ZR web site for
repair. Old bearings were tight however small motor bearing puller worked
fine. Cleaned up rotor, put in a baggie, and put in freezer for a few days.
New bearings arrived and since the shaft had shrunk from the cold just a
smidge, the new bearings slid right on the shaft. Sounds much better- most
of the noise is from the fan as it is moving a bunch of air.
