Collins AC-2808 Blower Kit. This consists of two blower motors mounted in a blower assembly and a blower assembly power cord. This unit is easily mounted to the heat sink of the KWM-380 or HF-380 (also for HF-281/282). This one is very clean with no dents. When the blower kit is mounted on the transceiver, it is always on when the rig is on, even in receive. It is quite noisy and annoying. There is no way to turn it off expect by pulling off the 2-pin plug on the back. I have neatly mounted a miniature DPDT(CO) toggle switch on the right side which allows to fan to be turned off, full speed, or reduced speed (a 50Watt wire-wound resistor is switched in series). This was a suggested modification. even though it results in a small hole being drilled for the toggle switch. I am the original owner and I still have my KWM-380 (upgraded to HF-380 specs) but have absolutely no need for the blower assembly was almost always in the off position. I have removed the blower assembly from the 380 and never plan to have a need for it again. If someone wants is, I am selling it for $250. plus shipping. Comes with factory instruction sheet and the hard-to find 2-prong plug.
