[Collins] re kwm2a v13

I am not a happy camper. I thought i had this kwm2a working just great. I put it its case last night and listen to 80 meters and everything sounded great. I came home today early because Iam sick, Flu. I turn the kwm2a on and let it warm up. tune to 20 meters and i here this strange ripple in the audio on receive. I started to check the other bands as well and its there too. What makes it really stand out is when i put the calibrator on. I don`t get it, Its was working great now its not.  I change the 5u4 and 5r4 hoping it might be one of those gone bad. No difference. Could it be because i solder that wire on the trimmer? Is this a mode that puts a sniffer of some kind on that trimmer that your not to solder? But then i think why would it be fine after i solderd the trimmer and now its not?
