Hello Martin,
This is not uncommon in 32S-1 and 32S-3 transmitters. If you are lucky, the usual cure is to loosen the band switch shield cans, wiggle them around a bit on the underlying finger stock and re-tighten (but don't over do it such that the cans get bent around the studs). Follow this with a thorough tightening of all screws on the chassis. Over time, and with heating and cooling cycles some screws work loose. These are important ground connections and can indeed cause strange behavior when loose. Good luck.
