What you may have to do is to take the cover off, its the bottom side
that is soldered in place, then install a .05 @1KV orange drop and
solder the case back together. And do that without destroying the feed
through insulators. A sturdy knife may be best at removing most of the
solder without adding heat. You might need to build a contoured set of
wooden vise jaws to hold the case while you attack it.
If the .05 is too fat, it might be necessary to use a couple .025 to fit
the case better but polyester caps tend to be smaller than oiled paper.
