Downloaded fine about 6 mb. You have to have a djvu viewer and then its
a poor text scan of QST from January 1955 to October 1955. I searched it
for 32V and only saw 32Vs for sale. But I have most of that year in hard
copy. I see nothing in the index about a 32V. In the for sales that I
saw with that downloaded file, one mentioned modified for TVI. It didn't
say using a Collins kit.
There almost had to be a kit whether only used in factory or in the
field, any transmitter maker that didn't cure TVI would not have survived.
I think I have a 1955 Walter Ashe Radio catalog, but I didn't find it
this morning. I won't have anything earlier than that.
I checked all the advertisements in QST for 1955 from Collins and though
each of the 9 issues I have was different, none mentioned the 32V since
the KWS-1 was the favorite that year along with mod kits to fit
mechanical filters into other brands of receivers. And then the S-line
arrived.
Warren Bruene probably knew or knows, he was in the thick of designing
in those days.
