You'll run into a moire pattern either way because its a halftone, but
you may be able to control it by scanning at 45 degrees or going super
fine on the scan.

That ad shows what appears to be a tube catalog. I've never seen such a
thing, but I've only really known about the C series tubes for the
length of this discussion.
