I'd ask everyone to forward this to hams who may be interested and are
within driving range of Ames, Iowa. The following equipment will be
sold by online auction over the course of the next two weeks. All
proceeds will go to Donald Petersen, W0LSF to help cover his living
expenses. Please see http://www.qsl.net/wa0roi/w0lsf.htm for the sale
rules. Pictures will be uploaded to that web site this weekend.
This is no different than other estate auctions which we have done in
the past, except that Don is not a SK but is in a nursing home. The
time frame is also a bit shorter than normal due to deadlines related to
the sale of his house.
A brief listing follows:
1) Single owner S-line purchased by Don on 26 Feb 1960. This original
station includes the 32S-1, 75S-1 (with filter & BFO xtal for CW
operation), 312B-4 and 516F-2 and all interconnect cables.
2) 30L-1 purchased in March 1964.
3) Johnson KW Matchbox, purchased 26 Feb 1960
4) Howard Model 450A general coverage receiver, made in 1939, purchased
by Don on 7 May 1940 from Farnsworth Radio Co in Waterloo, IA
