If a better source is not offered, you might consider taking your trim strip
to a vintage car restorer. Functionally, your clip description is just like
the description of the clips used to hold stainless trim strips to vintage
cars. There are many sizes and shapes of these clips. My 57 Chev, for
example, has roughly a dozen different trim clip configurations. Lots of
stainless.... :-0
Someone who has been restoring these 50's cars may have just what you're
looking for.
Good luck,
Chris

Subject: [Collins] 270G-3 speaker - retaining springs for trim strips on
front of cabinet - source needed
Hi all,
Am in the process of refurbishing a 270G-3 speaker for my 75A-4. One of the
retaining springs which holds the black trim strips in place on the front of
the speaker cabinet has broken. Does anyone know of a source for these
springs which fit inside of the back of the trim strip and push through the
hole in the cabinet. The trim strips cover the screws which hold the
speaker, speaker grill and backing board in place.
Thanks in advance for your help.
73,
Dave, K2DP, St. Louis
