In my copy of the filter list (downloaded from WA3KAY) the 526-9365- is
a F455Z-5, in a Y case. In the old days the dash numbers were
insigificant, most time indication the paper size for the drawing. Long
about 1963 or 4, they began issuing specifications with one part number
for the part and with the dash numbers being individual variations, like
1% metal film resistors that my project helped pay for to get all the 1%
standard values into the Collins part number system.
The F455Z-5 was used in the 32MS-1A and the 32RS-1C/1H according to that
web page.
The web page from VK3KCM called filter.htm says:
> 455 F455Z-5 526-9365-00 lower 2.7 @ 3 dB Y (long)
> 455 F455Z-5 526-9365-011 lower 2.7 @ 3 dB F
> 455 F455Z-5 526-9365-021 lower 3.4 @ 3 dB Y (long)
> 455 F455Z-5 526-9365-031 lower 3.1 @ 3 dB Y (long)
>
> 455 F455Z-5 526-9365-041 lower 2.7 @ 3 dB E
The last column is case. The Y case is 7/16" diameter, and I don't find
a definition of long. E and F cases are the big cases used in the 51J-4.
Rockwell Collins doesn't admit knowing the 526-9365-041 or -051 part on
line but does admit making the disk type filter to some of the 2000
designs previously designed.
Don't forget that Collins mechanical filters were sold as a component to
many other manufacturers, they weren't used only in Collins equipment.
The DLA900-84-M-KB20 label is not Collins style. The FSCM is probably
Federal Stock Component Manufacturer.
