[Collins] request for info on R-388

I would like to thank all of you who responded for my request for info on the R388. As I sort of expected there are  several potential significant issues, but none beyond working through following the guidance you have given me. I now have a wealth of resources at my fingertips, and intend on working on a very nice wintertime project! Looking forward to getting this fine looking radio up and running.

One thing has eluded me, though, how do I date this RX? SN 9014, and the only date I've seen so far is the year 1956, "reformed", and MFP on the filter cap plug-in. No nameplate so no contract number.
